Rheumatology Services

At the Rheumatology Centre, we provide a general Rheumatology service, providing a professional medical service for all Rheumatology conditions.

Dr Maxine Szramka also has a special interest in Ankylosing Spondylits, Gout and Arthritis.

We also provide joint and tendon injections as needed and trigger point injections.

We provide a full and comprehensive consultative service, with a thorough diagnostic evaluation and treatment plan. We evaluate and treat autoimmune diseases as well as having a special interest in musculoskeletal pains and conditions such as back pain and sports injuries.

The conditions that we treat and evaluate for include: 

• Pain – such as back pain, shoulder pain, knee pain, joint pains, muscle pains. We focus on the musculoskeletal system as a cause for pain, but are skilled in differentiating different causes of pain. For example, some muscle pains feel like nerve pains, and vice versa and it is important to know which is which, as the treatment and outcome can be quite different.
